Dear Friends and Family,

Sadly as we approach our third year anniversary, we will be closing our doors in Downtown Santa Monica indefinitely.  Please come by to say “goodbye” and celebrate three years of providing the best boutique, natural wines in Santa Monica.  It was a privilege to serve all of you.

Our remaining hours will be:

Friday, February 24th:  4pm to Midnight (Happy Hour 4-7pm)
Saturday, February 25th:  4pm to Midnight (Happy Hour 4-6pm)

Please come in to say goodbye and help us drink up our inventory!

The concept of Pourtal allows you to taste 40 ever-changing wines by the ounce with an additional 30+ labels by the glass, including dessert wine and grower champagnes all meant to be paired with our wine-friendly food and cheese menu. 

No reservations needed. We are full bar service, no table service. 21 and over only.

With a rotating selection of boutique, cult, vintage & recently-discovered wines that truly represent their terroir, our innovative Enomatic system allows you to taste what would normally be a $10 to $70 glass in a restaurant for a fraction of the price.

All wines are priced by the ounce, so you decide what to try and how much to spend.  Whatever amount you don’t use at the end of your journey we will gladly refund to your tab.  Click for “Step by Step” illustration.

Experiment and learn about the world of wine with our thematic “Tasting Tours”, spotlighting regions, varietals, styles or just fun concepts.  Consult with our staff or read our custom tasting notes provided with each wine.  Our wine selection changes monthly to highlight the seasons, trends, and variety the world of wine has to offer.

With an ocean-view, dog-friendly patio in the heart of Downtown Santa Monica, we are within easy walking distance to the many shops, restaurants, and theatres that the Third Street Promenade has to offer, Pourtal is a place to meet friends, enjoy an aperitif, or have a meal: all while experiencing a full wine tasting experience. Our “green goals” include providing a high proportion of “Nature Wines” that are beholden to the commitment of sulphur-free and organic grape growing, or drawn from the culture of “Bio-Dynamism”.  Mindful of this, we attempt to leave as small an imprint as possible through our search for sustainably raised grapes from wine farmers.

Our trained staff is knowledgeable, service-oriented and effortlessly casual with the goal of providing a friendly, accessible and
entertaining atmosphere.
