With a rotating selection of boutique, cult, vintage & recently-discovered wines that truly represent their terroir, our innovative Enomatic system allows you to taste what would normally be a $10 to $70 glass in a restaurant for a fraction of the price.

All wines are priced by the ounce, so you decide what to try and how much to spend. Whatever amount you don’t use at the end of your journey we will gladly refund to your tab. Click for “Step by Step” illustration.

With an ocean-view, dog-friendly patio in the heart of Downtown Santa Monica, we are within easy walking distance to the many shops, restaurants, and theatres that the Third Street Promenade has to offer, Pourtal is a place to meet friends, enjoy an aperitif, or have a meal: all while experiencing a full wine tasting experience. 
Our “green goals” include providing a high proportion of “Nature Wines” that are beholden to the commitment of sulphur-free and organic grape growing, or drawn from the culture of “Bio-Dynamism”. Mindful of this, we attempt to leave as small an imprint as possible through our search for sustainably raised grapes from wine farmers.
Our trained staff is knowledgeable, service-oriented and effortlessly casual with the goal of providing a friendly, accessible and
entertaining atmosphere.

 Welcome back Kevin Bening, Western Regional Sales Manger for Malibu Family Wines. He’ll be bringing some of his favorites from the Malibu Family Wines lineup including: Semler Estate and Saddlerock. Nestled deep in Malibu’s Santa Monica Mountains is the sprawling 1,000-acre Saddlerock Ranch, home to Malibu Family Wines and Semler. Visitors may recognize the vineyard and unusual rock formations from over 100 movies, commercials and television shows filmed here. The estate is also home to dozens of horses and exotic animals and a popular weekend setting for weddings and special events. Wines Poured: (TBA) 7-9pm, arrive anytime. No reservation needed. Winemaker Event with 3 Local Winemakers  As we present our 3rd annual “Made in Malibu” Tasting Tour that explores the bounty of Malibu’s burgeoning wine region, and toasts the mounting makers, we have a special tasting with Jim Palmer of Malibu Vineyards, Carol Hoyt of Hoyt Vineyards and Charles Schetter of Malibu Sanity. No reservations needed. Tasting is $15pp. Stop by anytime between 7-9pm. About the Winemakers: Carol Hoyt’s Hoyt Family Vineyards started with one acre in 2001. With their love for growing grapes and making wine by the sea, Carol & Stephen Hoyt bring you their unique hand crafted wines posses extraordinary character, depth, and flavor. In 2004, the Schetters came upon a beautiful piece of land overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Malibu in which to raise their family. The climate and soil conditions seemed unusually good for grape production. They undertook a year-long study of the terroir with experts near and far. Charles began his own study of Enology and Viticulture through courses at UC Davis and sought counsel from some of the best vintners throughout California. Located about a mile away from the whitewater break of Paradise Cove, the vineyard receives moderately hot temperatures with cooling afternoon breezes and evening fog. Focusing on the site’s unique characteristics, the optimal grape varieties were selected, ensuring proper acidity, color and varietal flavor.
